Monday Memories 045::Easter Cousins

Easter with cousins, 2007

Easter 2007 was our first Easter in a house of our own.
We were so lucky to have my brother and his family, my mom, and her parents at our house to visit and celebrate.  We went to church together and then went on a walk on the river trail.  I made my first Easter dinner for guests and we had a candy/egg hunt in the backyard.  It was so much fun!

First Daughter was almost two and old enough to hunt for eggs.  She loved it.
Second Daughter was weeks old.  She didn't know what was going on.  :)
It is so fun to remember that time in our little family.

All these kiddos are now so much bigger.
My brother has two more kids (twins) and we have two and a half more.
Our families sure have grown since this picture was taken.

We have spent almost our whole married life living away from our immediate family.We have had siblings come and go, and have been lucky enough to have a couple siblings live with us for a few months at a time (my brother is living here now and we love any chance we get to be with him and his fiancé) - but the majority of our time here has been on our own.
We cherish the visits that we get from grandparents, siblings, etc.
They are very very fond memories.
Our family means the world to us and we love any chance we get to be with them.

This Easter we had my mom here visiting from Boston.
Brother and Sister-In-Law-To-Be were here for a bit too.
We appreciated the efforts they all made to be with us - even just to be here.
It was a low key day, but so nice to have the comfort of family around.
There's nothing I love more than to just be with people I love.
