Monday Memories 016: Birthday Boys

February 2008, San Jose CA
Husband and his twin brother were born on February 14, 1978. For their 30th birthday in 2008, we flew out to San Jose so they could celebrate together. It was a surprise for them both.
We started the celebration weekend with a trip to the Oakland temple to do a session. Twin Brother didn't know we would be there. It was fun to see the surprised (and a bit confused) look on his face when he saw us sitting out front waiting for him. We went out one night sans kids, to go to dinner and a movie. It was a treat! My gift to Husband that year was the surprise trip, with help from Mother Inlaw. Twin Brother got an amp for his guitar. Both boys got In N Out t-shirts (as seen in this picture) and paper shredders. I can't remember much more. Family members wrote down memories of the boys and compiled them for their birthdays. It was so fun to be all together for their 30th. Husband has the best family. Husband's Littlest Brother wasn't there because he was serving a mission in Spain at the time. Husband's Sister and family were in Idaho going to school and working. We missed them all. As you an see, the sun was shining (as can be expected in CA) which was a nice change from the cold Utah winter. It's right around this time each year that I question why we live here and not there. Give me a couple months and I'll remember why :)
