I had a conversation with First Daughter the other day that I think merits recording.
Permanently.
So I can pull it out as evidence when needed.
She came home from school last Thursday ready to head to the book fair together as I promised.
We had a small window and it was chilly outside.
I was in a hoody and had my slippers on - my outfit of choice these days.
I asked her if she would be embarrassed if I wore my slippers to the book fair.
She responded (and these are her exact words - with an expression of complete shock on her face) -
"No! I wouldn't be embarrassed. Nothing you could do would embarrass me."
It was one of those moments when I stopped in my tracks and took a minute to etch the moment in my memory. It was awesome. I love that kid so much.
On a different note...
Did anyone catch the Michael Buble Christmas special on NBC last night?
It was so good.
It was bitter cold outside.
The kids were finally quiet in their "beds" (they prefer sleeping on the floor these days).
Husband was fiddling around on the computer.
I was cuddled up in bed with my covers pulled up to my chin and I flipped the TV on to this perfect Christmas special for a cozy winter night.
I'm becoming a big fan of the Buble.
Such a cool smooth voice and seems like a really classy guy.
And his Christmas album is one of my favorites.

Buble Christmas album is awesome. I saw part of the special last night and loved it! And that is so cute that you will never embarrass her :)
I hear the teenage years are a little different!! She's such a sweet girl. I think I already am an embarrassment to my children. Ha, better work on that.
Miss Katie.
I love her. She reminds me so much of her Mom.
Love Michael Buble. Love Pentatonix Christmas album too.
