So...Here Comes the Sun
We sure have been enjoying the sunny, summer-esque weather around here.
It sure is good for the soul.
So are cute smiley pictures of my kiddos.
School is out this week and we are very excited for summer vacation.
My brother reminded me how funny it is how anxious we are for summer, and then how anxious we are for school to start again. It is funny. But that's what I love about the seasons. There's always something wonderful to look forward to.
Our summer is looking like it will be a busy one.
We have summer camp, swimming lessons, softball, craft club, a wedding, and vacations to Oregon, Idaho, Massachusetts, and California. And on top of that we have Uncle O and Auntie Q living with us. It looks like it sure will be a summer to remember. School isn't even out and we're already busy having fun playing in the sprinkler, eating popsicles, and staying up late.
I'm still getting used to this "being the mom" thing.
I know that sounds a little ridiculous, but it's totally true.
I'm still learning a ton and trying to figure out how to manage things around here.
But it feels good to grow.
Most of the time :)
I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to be a mom and to be able to stay home to be a mom full time. I feel myself learning and growing all the time. I feel myself changing into a better person because of my role as mother. I get a little anxious to get where I want to be, but I am learning patience through the process as well. I have come a long way, and that is very encouraging.
And my husband still loves me.
That is a very good thing. :)
What are you looking forward to this summer?

That is such a cute picture of B!!
Craft club!? That sounds like a perfect summer activity. I'm loving the weather, too.
Too warm already for me... but I am looking forward to just hanging out with my munchkins. No homework, just playing, and perhaps seeing some friends and having happy hour. (Sonic happy hour that is. ;) )
