So...Being a Mom's the Best

Third Daughter buttered her own cornbread last night:
She didn't want to eat it.
I'm not sure why...
She also informed me that she wants to be a ghost witch alien for Halloween this year.
Not sure yet how we're gonna pull that off.
She is also going through a stick-her-tongue-out-and-kick-me-in-the-shins phase.
It's pretty awesome.
I'm not gonna lie.
I hope it lasts forever.
My favorite thing she does lately is her "karate chocking."
She's got mad skills.
But in all seriousness, this girl makes me smile everyday.
I love her to pieces.

Son had his first swing this month:
He was SO happy, which made this mama so happy.
He is so much fun right now I can hardly stand it.
His fuzzy hair is filling in and his two little bottom teeth have popped through.
He gives me huge slobbery kisses on my nose and it cracks him up every time.
I love the smell of sweet milk on his breath and his warm squishy cheeks.
I have mixed feelings about being done nursing my sweet baby.
Time just goes by too fast.
If I could just sit and cuddle him all day, I totally would.
I'm completely smitten by him.

Second Daughter got creative with the silverware:
She created her own custom xylophone.
It was quite impressive!
Her hair is shorter than it is in this picture, which makes brushing it way easier.
She is our sensitive girl.
Even her scalp is super sensitive.
She is working on being thoughtful and patient.
I know it isn't easy (gosh - I'm still working on it too!) but she is trying hard.
I love that a common phrase from her mouth is, "I'm trying my best."
What more could a mom ask for?
I love my sweet cuddlebug.

First Daughter is amazing.
I mean, I think all my kids are pretty great, but lately First Daughter has been doing awesome.
She is so helpful, especially with Son.
I love watching her be a little mommy.
I love how much she loves being home and being with the family.
I hope she always does.
I miss her when she's gone.
She is thriving in all her activities and school.
I am amazed (but not surprised) by her talents and abilities.
Since the day she was born I knew she would be good at anything she tried.
So far she is proving us right, and also proving that she knows how to work hard.
I am so proud to be her mama.

I feel like the luckiest mama in the world.
These children completely fill my days and I wouldn't want it any other way.
I love being their mom.
It is challenging, but in the best way possible.
I feel so much good happening everyday with these littles.
They bring me so much joy.
I pray everyday to be the mom they need me to be.
