So...a little help from my friends

I'm looking for a super delicious, not-the-boxed-cake-I-normally-make, out of this world cake to make Husband for his birthday, which happens to be on Valentine's Day.

Any recommendations?

He loves chocolate.
He loves chocolate + peanut butter.
But mostly he loves chocolate.

Oh Megan...I have the perfect thing!!! It's a chocolate cake (super moist)...three layers, peanut butter frosting with a chocolate peanut butter glaze. It is heavenly!!!

I made it just the other week for Jeff's birthday.

I have a chocolate cake recipe as well. No peanut butter, though.

It is seriously the best chocolate cake I have ever had.

There's Texas Sheet Cake (I think it is called that) but instead of putting it in a high sided cookie pan you put it in a regular 9x13 - so it is thicker and a little more cake like. We call it Lorna Burchall Cake. Others call it chocolate supreme. So yummy. Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting poured over it when it is still hot from the oven. I'll post the recipe just because now you've got me thinking about it.

KSL did a Lion House flourless chocolate cake last week. It looked divine!

Hey Megan,

Here is a link to a scrumptious chocolate cake. It has some beer in it but the alcohol dissipates in the baking.
I made it for my husband--it was a hit with everyone. Note--it made 2 big layers--I sliced one in half, iced it and we enjoyed it one day. I froze the other layer in a zip lock bag--it was a great dessert for another day.
Good luck with whatever recipe you use.

It's not the prettiest cake but it's seriously awesome! Kind of like what "the hungry" was referring to...

I was skeptical but I loved it!
